Orientation Center for the Blind Classes and Training

Credentialed teachers and qualified rehabilitation professionals provide classes and experiences individually tailored to assist each student with reaching their full potential for self-sufficiency.

Adult students attend classes from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday and reside in a dorm during their training.

Students are evaluated and provided training in the following classes:

  • computer access technology

  • orientation and mobility

  • pre-vocational skills

  • daily living skills

  • cooking

  • Braille

  • personal fitness

  • career and life planning

  • personal business management

  • needle arts

In addition, the OCB offers a variety of seminars, field trips and student activities.
