National commemoration demonstrates the benefits of inclusion, and the contributions of
America's workers with disabilities

California Department of Rehabilitation proudly announced its continued participation in National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), an annual public awareness campaign. NDEAM focuses national attention on disability employment issues and celebrates the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.

"Because we hold the fundamental belief that workers with disabilities belong in the American workforce, we are honored to continually promote campaigns designed to advance employment of people with disabilities," said DOR Director Joe Xavier.

This year's NDEAM theme, #InclusionWorks, reflects DOR's commitment to inclusion - respecting and appreciating all people for their talents and abilities.

DOR will participate in commemorative NDEAM events and activities across California in an effort to promote the hiring, retention, and advancement of people with disabilities. Throughout the month, by sharing milestones and accomplishments on its social media websites, and compiling a statewide calendar of NDEAM events from staff, stakeholders, and community partners; DOR will showcase how #InclusionWorks for California.
