Post and Bid Process
The Service Employees International Union, Local 1000 (SEIU, Local 1000) and the Department of Personnel Administration (DPA), negotiated a seniority based Post and Bid Process for filling select positions. Since the contract expired, SEIU and DPA negotiated a settlement for departments that were unable to implement Post and Bid during the contract period. As a result the Department of Rehabilitation will need to fill a limited number of positions in the following classifications, using the Post and Bid Process:
Personnel Specialist (Unit 1)
Staff Services Analyst (Unit 1)
Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Unit 1)
Office Assistant, Typing (Unit 4)
Full time, permanent vacancies in the above classifications, advertised on or after July 1, 2006, will be subject to the Post and Bid process until the required number of positions are filled. The geographic bidding areas have been defined as District (d), Central Office (CO), and Statewide (S).
Post and Bid Application
Applicants interested in a post and bid position must complete a Post and
Bid Application. Print the Post and Bid Application by clicking on the link
above. Thoroughly complete the application and send to the address listed on
the form. Applications not completed accurately and entirely will be
eliminated from the post and bid hiring process. Standard State Applications
will not be accepted for Post and Bid positions.
Post and Bid Dispute Resolution
Applicants who dispute the bid award may, within five workdays after receipt
of the notification, file a written protest. Print the Post and Bid Dispute
Resolution form by clicking on the link above. Thoroughly complete the form
and send to the address listed on the form. Applicants must follow the
directions as stated on the Post and Bid Resolution Form.
