California State Personnel Board (SPB)
- The SPB is responsible for California's Civil Service System. The SPB provides a variety of recruitment, selection, classification, appellate, goal setting, training and consultation services to state departments. The SPB also promotes efficiency and economy in state government and is a leader in efforts to improve and reform civil service practices.
