Workforce Development: What's in it For You
Workforce Development (WDS), "What's in it for Your Business?" is a Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) employer outreach program designed to build collaborative partnerships that create staffing solutions for California businesses. The Workforce Development Section (WDS) develops and coordinates linkages with the business community in order to increase meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Talent Acquisition Portal (TAP)
The Talent Acquisition Portal (TAP) is led by the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation and The National Employment Team (NET) in partnership with disABLEDperson, Inc. TAP is an online system which includes both a national talent pool of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) candidates looking for employment and a job posting system for businesses looking to hire individuals with disabilities.
Resources for Businesses
Disability Access Services Section (DASS): Serves as a resource that provides public information, consultation, training and technical assistance to state and local government, consumers, business partners and businesses to help prevent accessibility issues.
Job Accommodation Network (JAN): A free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employability of people with disabilities.
Partnership on Employment and Accessible Technology (PEAT): PEAT works to help employers, IT companies, and others to understand why it pays to build and buy accessible technology, and how to go about doing so.
Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN): A resource for employers seeking to recruit, hire, retain and advance qualified employees with disabilities.
United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN): Helps businesses drive performance by leveraging disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace.
American Job Career Centers (AJCCs): Your one-stop shop for workforce services, providing a comprehensive range of no-cost employment and training services for business partners and job seekers.
