Student Services Coordinator

Hello, my name is Brenden Garcia. I have worked in the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Richmond Branch since August of 2023. During my time in Richmond, I have worked as a Student Services Coordinator providing aid to the counselors in our office, visiting schools, and assisting the students with the scan project. I work to coordinate work experiences for young people and adults with disabilities as well as aiding students in succeeding in their education. I do my best to provide our clients with the services they need to achieve fulfilling employment and independent living.

During my youth, my mother ran a daycare learning center and I spent much time volunteering there. This drew me towards assisting youth and helping them to find their place in life.

My interests involve acting, which I also used in working with children as I used to work as a costumed party entertainer, performing as Spider-Man for children’s birthday parties.
