YLF - STAFF
2023 STAFF MEMBER INFORMATION
Volunteer Staff Applications for the 2023 YLF will be available soon.
Are you looking for great work experience? Be part of a team at the 2023 Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities (YLF)! You will build your communication, organizational and leadership skills.
The YLF is a week-long self-advocacy and leadership development program for students with disabilities who are Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors in High School. The 2023 YLF will be conducted virtually and in-person from July 13-19, 2023. The first three days of YLF will be held virtually using the Zoom platform from July 13-15. Delegates will have the day off on July 16 and then will travel to Sacramento on July 17 to continue YLF in-person through July 19. Most staff will travel to Sacramento on July 16.
There may be an opportunity for staff to participate and get paid, if eligible, through the Department of Rehabilitation’s Work Experience program. More information will be provided soon.
All YLF staff will be required to complete a Live Scan and pass the background check requirements from YLF, its contractors and/or partners. More information is provided in the YLF Background Check Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document below.
If you have questions or need additional information about the application process, please call us at 855-894-3436 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: YLF planning partners continue to track health trends and safety guidance within California. All participants may be expected to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19, and to test negatively for COVID-19 in the 24 hours before arriving in Sacramento.
